Original Laguiole knives are available as table cutlery with accompanying forks and spoons. 

 

The Laguiole region (Aveyron) is well known for its excellent cuisine, wonderful cheeses, exquisite charcuterie and Aubrac beef.

The comprehensive FORGE DE LAGUIOLE® range of knives is complemented by a full selection of matching flatware as well as tools to cut, carve, season and spread.

These objects are all hand made in our Laguiole workshop from the finest traditional and contemporary materials.

  • Table Knives

    The handles of the FORGE DE LAGUIOLE®  French table knives are available in various materials and with different finishing. The blades are made from matte or polished food grade stainless steel.

  • Forks

    Sets of forks are available to complement FORGE DE LAGUIOLE knives.

    As are the knives, our forks fashioned from a variety of materials in many different finishes.

     

  • Soup Spoons

    These spoons complement our other flatware and are available in many different materials and finishes.

  • Dessert Spoons

    Sets of dessert/coffee spoons are available in materials and finishes to match other Forge de Laguiole flatware.

  • Carving sets

    There are three different FORGE DE LAGUIOLE carving sets available.

    The small Laguiole model with a knife handle that is identical to a table knife, the ‘Grand’ model and the ‘Prestige’ model , a 21 cm pocket knife with a spring and a handcrafted bee.

    Carving knife only, also available.

     

  • Bread knives

    FORGE DE LAGUIOLE ‘s collection of bread knives. These bread knives go very well with the traditional selection of table knives.

    These bread knives are part of the traditional knife range and are available in different  materials and finishing.

  • Cheese and dessert knives

    This traditional cheese serving set was created in collaboration with master cheese maker Roland Barth.

    The more contemporary cheese knives were designed by Philippe Starck, Christian Ghion or Michel Bras (three Michelin stars.)

     

  • Butter knives

    FORGE DE LAGUIOLE offers three different styles of butter knives.  The traditional version with a handle made from black cow horn and two designer versions: one by André Putman and the other by Christian Ghion.

  • Salt and pepper mill

    The top part of the mill is carved from an Aubrac cow horn to accommodate the French mill mechanism. The body of the mill is made of beech wood. The pepper mill is covered with black Aubrac cow leather and the salt mill with grey Aubrac cow leather. Each mill is unique as are the horns they are made from.
