Design table knives by Andrée Putman, matt finish

Laguiole table knives with solid ash handle (especially for dish washing) or handle in ebony, matt finish

At the roots of the folding knife, in the Aubrac of the nineteenth century lies the classic Laguiole with a ‘bourbonnaise’ blade and a centered point.  Andrée Putman and her daughter, Olivia, chose to reuse this classic Laguiole model at the center of their unique designer knives collection.

In this creation the blade ends in a point that is reminiscent of the one of the folding knife of the 1800s. The handle has the historical straight shape of the Laguiole knife. The bee is registered offset from the traditional location of the symbol of the fly in order to keep the sleek and suggestive character of the knife. The handle, like the blade of the knife, retains its characteristic round symmetry, providing a particularly successful reinterpretation of the Laguiole knife of the 1800s.
